No reservations, its a small cafe/dinner! Awesome food!!!
You can ask but don't think they are hiring at this time
Its the milk bottle
Only if you're a friendly Christian
Good burger, fries, and milkshake. Much better than chain burger joints.
I have lived here most of my life and never visited The Milk Bottle. Now I am asking myself why? I have been missing out on the best milkshakes in town! The bacon burger and tuna melt were both really good. I noticed they have a special with a milkshake burger and fries on the menu and I plan to try that on my next visit! I highly recommend the banana split! It is a real one with all the 3 ice cream flavors and you can even choose to pick your own 3 flavors if you want! Nummy food for sure.
I love this place. Every summer when I was in high school I would road trip across the state with my cross country team to Spokane and stop by here with our coach for burgers and milkshakes. Every milkshake in my life has been compared to the quality of milkshake that The Milk Bottle serves! I am so happy to finally have a home in Spokane so I can enjoy this beautiful area and wonderful places like Mary Lou's Milk Bottle.
The icecream sodas were bitter and gross.
Classic Spokane location. If you haven't been here, you should just go. It's not expensive, and the food is good. Out of everything I love the milk shakes the most. Do note that parking is limited in Garland, so I would recommend going on a week day to avoid rushes. Also this place is CASH ONLY, so be prepared, but if you're not there is an ATM in the restaurant, and down the street at the bank.
A classic Americana experience. Bring CASH! Do not drag race Harrison Ford when done. Never ends well. Tip the folks. They have lots of chrome to keep shiny
Very tasty. Friendly and fast service. Reasonable prices. The only drawback is 'cash or check only'.
Delicious hand formed hamburger patties and cooked to perfection. Add a malt and you are all set for a lunch at an iconic location
This is the place you go for absolute old-school comfort chow. Rated as some of the best ice cream in the entire Pacific Northwest and I believe it. Might even be the best I ever ate. Had to try the classic cheeseburger and it did not disappoint, it was worthy. The locals flock to this place and the menu is filled with lots of reasons why. Try the Huckleberry Cobbler for desert, you're not going to get something like that anyplace else.
Fun place. Food was good. The Milkshakes are AMAZING! They get their milk from a local farmer, so its "home grown" and not comercialized.
I ordered the Greek Salad with Chicken! It was excellent. The service was awesome and the restaurant is very unique. It's a diner / soda fountain kind of place so I was a little concerned about finding healthy choices but they had several great options! And the milk shakes looked amazing but not for me today:-) But I'm coming back for you one day Mr. Milk Shake 😎
Good food, good ppl
The milkshake and main dish was good, the potato salad on the other hand was definitely not it.
Been there twice..food was good. Service was pretty good. Gave them a 3 because they advertise having no sugar added/sugar free ice cream & d idnt have any either time....
Before Covid we were regulars. It's a quaint little diner with that homey feel. The food is fresh. The homemade buns and burger patties scream yummy and they're generous on their bacon burgers. The double burger would fill the jolly green giant.I absolutely love everyone there. You want to tell them to grab a soda and have a seat. Oh and best news today.... they've got lactose free ice cream..Heart be still!
My wife and I loved this place. I had a cheeseburger, with fries and a huckleberry milkshake and my wife had some huckleberry cobbler. Let me tell all were excellent. We especially loved the milkshake. There milkshakes may not being the boys to the yard, but your dam right it's better than y'all's (others that I have tried, not thinking of anyone particular.) Highly recommend. Also the food was excellent and they are homemade fries.
What a hidden gem! That place has great food and low cost but CASH ONLY as I found out. No problem they have an ATM machine. You have to have one of their burgers and their Milk Shakes are out of this world!!! Cant wait till tomorrow, I'm coming back!!!
This place is really attentive and has an incredible retro vibe!! Perfect place to take your friends or even have a date night!!
Home made burgers. Milkshake old style. Catch-up and mostrar of style and gate price. I will be coming back
I liked it a lot mainly the milkshakes. The other food was fine, fries were good but there on the soft side like I like them. It's also relatively inexpensive. If you go just for ice cream I think that's what I'll do in the future.
Get a feel of hometown 50's in this place. The shakes are higher and the specials are well priced. A must stop if in the Garland district.
Milkshakes were amazing. Burgers are only so so. I think people go more for the ice cream and shakes
Delicious burgers and macaroni salad, and the milkshakes are on another level of best milkshakes.
Came here for my first time several weeks ago. The place has a charming old school diner aesthetic. My friends and I both got burgers and fries and each of us also ordered a shake. The burgers were so so, not bad but nothing special. However we all loved our shakes. They are generous with their portions and the flavor and texture of the shake is delicious. I'd go back just for a shake!
Simple food menu. Delicious shakes. Super adorable inside.
The best burgers and shakes around! Classic ice cream shop decor and friendly staff. Be warned... they take cash and checks only, but they do have an ATM on site. Highly recommended Spokane institution. 😊🍔🍦
Best milkshakes! Try the river city sludge
What a great Spokane icon of a building and it happens to serve up some great food too. The classic cheeseburger, fries and shake combo is hard to beat anywhere. And you can't beat the retro diner style inside a giant milk bottle!
Friendly. Great service. Everything is made from scratch. Very tasty. Ice cream made from scratch with fresh fruit. Ate outside.
Always friendly and good food. Some times we take one of the kids out for a special one on one time here, they love the milkshakes.
This place gave my wife and I food poisoning. The food was so bad we didn't even finish half of it. The customer service was horrible
My milkshake was very thin but good. The inside leaves a bit to be desired and the staff was not the friendliest and seemed out of sorts. Will definitely have to try a round two.
Cute diner! Loved the ambience of the 50's diner - definitely authentic! They have a great menu selection - something for everyone. They were a super friendly staff and they have great service! Also, they have ice cream there... A must get!!
Unique in every way! The building is a giant milk bottle. Homemade ice cream! Huckleberry even! Home baked hamburger buns. House cut fries. Giant milkshakes with stainless steel decanter. Genuinely friendly family owned restaurant. ATM inside. Is near vinyl record shops and guitar stores as well as the Garland Movie Theater where you can watch movies all year for a $70 subscription. Thrift store on corner as well as a coffee shop.
Best ice cream in the world. Amazing food and service!!! The family that owns the milk bottle are some of the most kind hearted people. If you live here you know how great it is and if you come to Spokane you have to come check it out!!!
🌱not vegan friendlyStanding at 38ft high is a Milk Bottle shaped building. Built in 1935 it was designed as a retail outlet for dairy products (makes sense.) Today, it’s a diner that is known for it’s award winning milkshakes.
I really loved how smooth and creamy the milkshake was! We got a huckleberry milkshake and I highly recommend it. The only thing is that I think it's just a little pricey and the fries could have been a little more flavorful and salty. But the bacon cheeseburger was delicious!
Great burgers and shakes from a terrific staff!
Awesome place to get your milkshakes in Spokane. Freshly homemade with tons of different flavors. Love their $10 specials for lunch; cheese burger, fries & milkshakes.
Beautiful little restaurant in the heart of the Garland district. They have very good food at a very reasonable price. They are very well known for their milkshakes and dessert options. But, that does not mean their food isn't great. They have delicious burgers, sandwiches with some amazing fries. Their seating involves both indoor, in the milk bottle, and outdoor options. They have a great customer service and very polite workers. It's a good place to spend your lazy Fridays or any day for that matter. Make sure to have cash on you because debit and credit transactions involve higher prices. If you do forget, they have an ATM too.
Milkshakes were soooooo good! And excellent service! Plus, the ambiance of being in a milk bottle building was super fun! Pretty pricey for milkshakes though (worth it for a special treat, but surprisingly expensive).
Everyone that works here is serious about their job. Friendly, spotless and reasonable
Loved the vibe at the Milk Bottle! They decorate well with marble tables and cute black and white photos, reminds you of a simplier time. The place feels more spacious since they have big windows letting the ambiance of city life pass by. I loved seeing the age variance of people that this place attracts! Its a timeless experience to dine here.
